Assalamualaikum, Beberapa hari lepas hubby kurang sihat. Kami makan malam hanya dengan nasi air atau orang luar panggil bubur kanji. Sedap juga...meh jamu mata.
Nak buatnya senang sangat sebab tu saya rasa nak share resipi ni dengan anda..
Perlukan:
2 cawan beras
3 cm halia-hiris
1 labu bawang besar warna putih /sweet onion--potong dadu
3 ulas bawang putih-ketuk
1 biji carrot- dipotong dadu besar
1 genggam ikan bilis yang putih/ halus @ bilis yang sudah dibelah
3 pelepah daun sup-potong kasar-kasar. gunakan batangnya sekali.
Caranya:
Rebus semua bahan di atas dalam air sebanyak 2 liter. Tambah lagi kalau pekat. sehingga beras hancur menjadi bubur. ( saya guna beras basmathi sebab beras ni kurang berkanji ). Lebih kurang setengah jam dah about ok. Perasakan dengan garam dan serbuk perasa.
Cara buat sambal kicap:
segenggam cili padi, 2 sudu besar bawang goreng (ready made ), 3 sudu besar kicap pekat, 2 biji limau kasturi dibuang biji, garam, gula. Blend semuanya.
Bubur ni sedap dimakan dengan taburan bilis goreng, sambal ikan dan sambal kicap pedas. Hiaskan dengan daun sup/ daun bawang yang dipotong halus dan sedikit perahan limau kasturi.
Lepas makan memang berpeluh. Kalau badan rasa nak demam memang boleh kebahlah..buat sementara insyaAllah.

western dinner
Assalamualaikum. Bored with rice menu every nite? let's try western this time. This was our family dinner on Dec 12, 2010. A nice combi of mashed potatoes and a good protein source...pink salmon. Add some simple salad to make a healthy meal..
Terliur tak tengok gambar tu... kalo makan kat restoran sakan juga harganye tu.... meh kite buat sendiri.
Mashed potatoes / kentang putar.
1 kg kentang--yang fresh n keras
1/2 buku butter
1 cawan fresh milk
Kupas n potong kentang nipis-nipis--3 mm tebal.
kukus kentang. Supaya tak lembik n basah sangat. Rebus pun boleh- toskan airnya.
Semasa masih panas masukkan dalam mixer. Putar dengan butter. Sambil tambahkan fresh milk sedikit sedikit. Putar sampai lembut..smooth n nice texture.
Gravy / Kuah
Perlukan:
1/2 buku butter
3 sudu besar tepung gandum
150 g daging lembu
1 labu bawang besar ( sweet onion )
2 ulas bawang putih
1/2 biji carrot
2 sudu teh serbuk lada hitam
2 sudu besar kicap manis
Rebus about 150 g daging lembu potong nipis-nipis. 1 labu bawang besar / sweet onion, dua ulas bawang putih, 3 potong carrot ( separuh btg ) dalam 1/2 liter air. Tambah garam n sedikit perasa. Bila dah lembut sejukkan sekejap. Blend semuanya sampai hancur n tapis. Blend lagi n tapis. Ambil airnya sahaja.
Panaskan kuali, masukkan 1/2 buku butter. bila dah cair n panas, masukkan 3 sudu besar (bumbung ) tepung gandum. Kacau rata. Kalau pekat sangat tanbah sikit vegetable oil. Kacau sampai jadi brown. Tambahkan air rebusan tadi. Kacau lagi. Kalau perlu tambahkan lagi air biasa atau fresh milk. Supaya jadi warna brown yang cantik tambahkan sedikit kicap manis. Kacau. Tambah garam n sedikit perasa. Tambahkan 2 sudu kecil serbuk lada hitam.
Voala! mashed potatoes n gravy dah siap.
Grilled Salmon with Mozzarella cheese.
Perlukan:
2 potong pink salmon
200 g mozzaerella cheese- grated
1 ulas bawang putih
sedikit basil leaves
sedilkit parsly leaves
2 sudu besar olive oil
1 sudu teh serbuk lada hitam
sebiji lemon @ lamau nipis
garam n perasa
Dua potong pink salmon. Bersihkan, buang sisik, rendam sekejap dalam air perahan limau nipis. Bilas bersih. Perapkan salmon dengan sedilit garam, sedikit perasa, minyak zaitun, daun basil kering ( basil leaves ), minced garlic n sedikit perahan air limau nipis. Perap selama 2 jam. Dalam kuali non stick letakkan kepingan salmon. Tutup kuali n masak selama 5 minit. Terbalikkan n masak lagi 5 minit. Keluarkan kepingan salmon, masukkan dalam casserolle. Taburkan grated mozzarella cheese di atasnya ( be generous on this.. kalo nak sedap ). Taburkan sedikit daun parsly kering n sedikit serbuk lada hitam. Tambahkan sedikit olive oil. Grill dalam oven selama 5 minutes on high.
Dont feel guilty....just indulge yourself...( regret latter..)

spaghetti Bolognese
Need 1 pack of 500 g spaghetti ( i use San Remo )
usually serve a family of 6 to 8 persons.
Boil about 2 liter of water. add a pinch of salt. When boil, add in the spaghetti. Cook unti soft. Drain. Pour about 3 tablespoon of olive oil. Be generous with olive oil - it is good for health. Mix well. Garnish with some chopped parsley.
spaghetti sauce
1 pack ( 500 g) ground beef ( 1 use ramli's)
2 cans Campbell's Prego
1 big sweet onion - minced
1 garlic - crushed
1 teaspoon oregano powder
1 teaspoon basil leaves
2 tablespoon veg. oil
2 liter water
3 tablespoon sugar
salt and msg to taste
Preparation of the sauce is the same with that of lasagna. ( posted previously ). But cook until a little bit thick.

Pineapple Cheese Cake- serves 8-10
One of my daughter's friends asked about cheese cake recipe. I suppose this sweet girl has tasted some of my simplest cheese cake while they were at SMKaKA hostel...here is the simplest cheese cake recipe you can easily follow....no need to bake!
U need:
For cake base:
200 g sweet biscuits--Tiger biscuits will do just fine
100 g melted butter--buttercup?
use a food processor to crush the biscuits. mix well with the melted butter. Press into a greased springform tin lined with non stick baking paper. Refrigerate while you are preparing the filling.
Cheese filling:
250 g cream cheese ( i use philladelphia cream cheese )
1 can cubed pineapple- well drained --lightly crushed / blended )
2 tablespoon lemon juice
3/4 cup caster sugar
1 teaspoon plain jelly powder ( i use nona's )--dissolve in 2 tablespoon of boiling water
1 cup thick cream
Beat the cheese and caster sugar until creamy. Put in thick cream. Beat more. Add in lemon juice, crushed pineapple, and dissolved jelly. Mix well. Pour the cheese filling on top of the base. Put some pineapple slice on top to decorate. Refrigerate over nite. Served cool.

Let's go italian.....
Assalamualaikum..
Pasta is a good replacement for rice. if you are trying to cut off rice intake yet afraid to go hungry, pasta is the answer. Lasagna, spaghetti bolognese and tuna pasta are my specialties...so to speak..my kids love em. any body wants to try? Let's go to dapUr cg. sal.
Meat Lasagna. ( serve 6 people )
2 packs of 250 g pre cooked lasagna.
(available at most supermarket)
Ingredients for meat sauce:
1 pack of ground beef ( i use Ramli's small pack)
2 cans campbell's Prego spaghetti sauce or 1 bottle of prego
1 large sweet onion, minced
2 cloves garlic, crushed
2 tablespoon veg. cooking oil
1 teaspoon oregano powder
1 teaspoon basil leaves
3 tablespoon sugar ( spaghetti sauce is a little bit sour )
1.5 liter water
salt and msg to taste.
Preparing the meat sauce
Saute the onion in some veg. oil. Pour in spaghetti sauce. Add in the meat. Stir well. Add oregano and basil. Put in sugar, salt and pinch of msg. Add some water. Cook for about 30 minutes. The sauce should not be too thick. (Need some liquid to soften the lasagna layer).
Ingredients for cheese sauce
250 g cream cheese ( philadelphia )
2 tablespoon rice flour
2 tablespoon mayonaise
1 cup boiling water
( the original resepi use cottage cheese and sour cream- but they are hard to find so i invent the new sauce..)
Preparing the cheese sauce
mix all the above in a bowl. stir well.
In a greased square pan or casserol, layer the lasagna sheets. Put the meat sauce and the cheese sauce alternatively. Layer all. On top, generously put shredded mozarella cheese. bake in the oven 160 degree ferenheit for about 1 hour.
Now, Ready to indulge!

Dodol Tradisional
Assalamualaikum.
Dua hari lepas terasa teringin nak makan dodol..Masa hari raya baru ni ada kakak bagi sikit. Tak puas makan. Lalu saya mencuba resepi dodol ala saya sendiri. Alhamdulillah hasilnya amasing! Tak susahpun. Tak perlu tunggu nak ada kawah besar baru nak buat dodol. Saya buat dalam kuali tebal ( Korea King ). Guna api sangat perlahan. Boleh ditinggal-tinggalkan...kacau sekali sekala saje...bila dah siap kerja di dapur tutup api. Next time ada kerja memasak boleh disambung pula mengacau dodol tadi. Total hour atas api ada lah about 8 jam. Sesiapa teringin nak makan dodol bolehlah mencuba resipi saya ni.
Bahan-bahannya:
1 peket tepung pulut
1 kg santan
3 kerek gula melaka ( org terengganu panggil nissang )
3 liter air
secubit garam.
Cara membuatnya:
Bancuhkan tepung pulut dengan air. Cairkan dulu gula kerek dengan sedikit air di atas api. Bila dah cair tapiskan ( sebab gula ni kadang-kadang ada anasir luar yang kita tak nak ). Dalam kuali- campurkan santan, bancuhan tepung pulut, dan air gula serta garam. Bermulalah sesi mengode.... Bila dah sangat pekat sampai dodol menjadi bulat seketul dan tidak melekat pada kuali serta kelihatan berkilat bolehlah kalau nak stop mengode. tapi kalaau suka dodol boleh dipotong tunggulah sekejap lagi..Buat dodol ni kena sabar. InsyaAllah menjadi. Selamat mencuba.

Resepi carrot cake
Resepi yang pertama ni sebagai memenuhi permintaan Shahariah... Kalau tak ada kacang walnut boleh guna pecan atau tak payah buh kacangpun tak pe. Kalau dah cuba nanti bolehlah bawak sikit ke sekolah ye...
Bahan-bahan:
4 bj telur
1 1/4 cawan minyak sayuran
2 cawan gula
2 sudu teh vanilla extract
2 cawan tepung gandum
2 sudu teh baking powder
1 sudu teh soda bikarbonat
1/2 sudu teh garam
1 1/2 sudu teh serbuk kayu manis
3 cawan carrot yang sudah diparut
1 cawan kacang walnut @ pecan.
Bahan untuk frosting
1/2 buku butter
1 buku cream cheese
3/4 cawan gula halus
1 sudu teh vanilla
cheese n butter mestilah dikeluarkn awal dari peti supaya lembut sebelum dipukul.
mix semua bhn di ats sampai kembang- 15 minit.
Cara buat cake:
1. Panaskan oven 175 degrees C.
2. Dalam mixing bowl, masukkan telur, minyak, gula n vanilla. Pukul high speed selama 15 minit.
3. Masukkan tepung gandum yang telah dicampur dengan soda n baking powder, garam n serbuk cinnamon. Masuk carrot parut n kacang. Gaul dengan senduk.
4. Alas loyang dengan kertas. Sapu minyak- tuangkan adunan.
5. Bakar selama 50 minit. sejukkan atas wire rack.
6. Bila dah sejuk sapukan dengan frosting. bolehlah hias sikit dengan ceri dan parutan carrot.
7. Sejukkan dlm fridge semalaman.
Ready to indulge!
p.s - Carrot cake ni sedap dimakan sejuk.
